Equipment Catalog

Welcome to the Creativity Lab equipment hire service. Our equipment is available, for free, to all active members of the University of York. You are able to borrow equipment for a maximum of up to one week.

While equipment can be taken off campus, it is not possible to take our equipment abroad. 

This booking system is set up so that bookings must be made at least 3 days in advance, to ensure we can make arrangements for collecting your equipment. Any bookings less than three days in advance will show as not available in this system. 

Upcoming collection/return closures

Please note, collections and returns are CLOSED on the following dates, due to staff availability:

• Every Friday
• Dates between Monday 29th June and Friday 10th July 2026
• Bank holiday - Monday 31st August 2026
• All dates between Friday 4th September and Friday 11th September 2026

Please select the 'availability' button to reserve an item. When selecting dates, you are choosing a slot to collect and return the equipment from the Creativity Lab office (LFA/104). Please ensure you make a note of the collection and return times, as we will be expecting you at these exact times, and can't guarantee access to equipment if you arrive at another time of the day. On booking all equipment, please read and agree to our the terms and conditions. 

Collection/return location

Please note, there is a new location to collect and return equipment loans. You will be emailed details when booking.
