The University Library provides a free minibus service to the British Library at Boston Spa for our staff and students.
There is one trip per week on alternate Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year.
The pickup point is the car park in front of the Information Centre, at 9.30am. The minibus leaves the Reading Room at approximately 4.15pm. All seats must be pre-booked three days before your visit.
If required, we can also pick up from Heslington East. If you select this option, the pickup point will be the large car park on Kimberlow Lane (where the bus stops are located), at 9.25am.
If you are on the waiting list and you are keen to visit, we advise that you turn up as sometimes there will be last-minute cancellations.
Registration: from 10 September 2014 you must have registered and been issued with a British Library Reader Pass (a photo-pass) to use the Boston Spa Reading Room.
Whilst you can register in person, we strongly recommend that you pre-register online for a full British Library Reader Pass. You complete your registration by coming to the Boston Spa Reception.
The benefit of pre-registering online is that you can request items in advance, before you complete the registration process. NB: All items have to be ordered online, using Explore the British Library and will take a minimum of 48 hours for delivery.
